Hand made - our home to yours

Quality ingredients for quality products

Hand made skin care products tend to be very basic and straightforward. Rather than focusing on propping up the ingredients with cheap synthetics aimed at replicating quality, good hand made products use a smaller number of ingredients that speak for themselves. There's no need for useless fillers when the quality shines through.

Store-bought or artificial skin care products have a plethora of chemicals, cheap preservatives, and nasty detergents. Often, the best ingredients are removed to improve the bottom line. Other inferior chemicals are then added to replace the beneficial products that have been removed. What you end up with is a product that can upset the natural balance of your skin, leaving it too dry or too oily. It's not benefiting you, and just replicates the feeling of clean! And all of those chemicals get passed on to your liver to process in an attempt to eliminate them from your body.

Skin is our largest organ, and oftentimes our most finnicky. Everything that touches it can have an impact. With that in mind, why take a risk with anything but the best ingredients? When we make our soap bars, or pull together a fresh jar of our amazing bath salts, or when we work our hands sore pushing yet another bath bomb into the moulds, you can rest assured knowing that each product we send to you is filled to the brim with quality and care.

Sustainability

More and more people are expressing a preference for cleaner, environmentally-friendly skin care and beauty options. Our customers want to know how we source ingredients, whether our packaging is reusable or recyclable, and have more awareness and control on what they are putting on their skin.

Since our homemade products are made in our personal kitchens, our ingredients are sourced and tested responsibly, and we ensure everything we use is not tested on animals. So when you ask us how it's made, we'll give you a detailed and honest answer as we know the process intimately!

Supporting small businesses

More and more, people are wanting to support small businesses with their purchases. There are myriad benefits in doing so. Small businesses often give back to the community in other ways, such as employing local workers, supporting Australian suppliers, and being closer and more engaged with their customers (who are often friends and family). When small businesses you support are strong, the community and local economy are strengthened as well.

The other big benefit of supporting a small business is the sense of a person (or people) behind it all. Often, big corporations can feel clinical and detached from you. Attempts to show a human element often ring hollow, or feel particularly forced. When you personally know who is behind a business and the love and care they put into their products, you are better connected than you otherwise would be. You can feel genuine in celebrating the successes we gain together, and are personally invested in what we are trying to achieve.
